I have just got to share this little gem of a face mask with you – The Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask.
Initially I picked one of these up as a great face mask for some post summer rehydration but given the current temperature, this little beauty is deliciously cooling.
I do take my skincare seriously as you know, but I also know a bargain when I see one when. Especially when it comes to a bit of a skincare treat.
The Garnier Skin Active Moisture Bomb Tissue Mask is currently on offer at 99p. Yes you heard right – 99p.
Now I know that can sometimes be a little off putting as we start getting a little worried when things are too cheap. Especially when it comes to our little faces.
However, fear not – Garnier is of course a brand we know and the ingredients are worth treating our little faces to.
I picked one of the masks up as a quick fix – lured in by the Hyaluronic Acid.
Hyaluronic Acid has for sometime been a buzz word in skincare and as a Beauty Therapist in my former life, I can certainly validate its efficiency.
I have used similar in more expensive masks in the past.
Hyaluronic Acid is a substance produced naturally in the deeper layers of the skin. It keeps the skin smooth and plump and enables hydration and moisture retention. Our natural production of Hyaluronic Acid declines as we age and many products now contain this key ingredient.
The mask also works on reducing fine lines so anything that can do that for 99p has got to be worth a go in my opinion.
The down side of this mask is that you will look incredibly scary wearing it. On this occasion, I spare you the photo!
The mask needs to be applied for 15 mins. It comes as a whole gauze which is shaped (in the main) to fit your face.
It is a little bit ‘moonface’ in shape so if you don’t have a perfectly rounded structure you can do what I did and make cuts to suit.
To the mask – not your face. That’s best left to the experts.
The mask is dripping with moisture and once applied to the skin, it is deliciously cooling and hydrating.
I did an extra treat and applied it to my neck afterwards too. And for really hot days, pop it in the fridge for extra cooling.
I certainly noticed a difference afterwards and my skin did feel more plumped and hydrated.
In fact, I liked it so much that I was a bit greedy and I went out and bought loads more to see me through. It’s a bit of steal at 99p and I would certainly pay more for it when it goes back to the original price.
There are still plenty on the shelves of Superdrug and Boots so fear not! I haven’t taken them all.
It’s a weekly treatment so I should be fully plumped until Christmas.
This is not a sponsored review, merely me sharing the love to all your lovely faces and skin types.
